Meet The Founder: Shelle Rose Charvet

Shelle wasn’t always the communication and people skills expert you know today. She was not a natural and she struggled with communicating and influencing, especially during stressful situations.

Shelle Rose Charvet is a bestselling author, international expert on Influencing & Persuasion. Her first book, “Words That Change Minds” is an international bestseller, available in 15 languages.

She is a Certified Speaking Professional awarded by the Global Speakers Federation and former President of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.

Shelle has certified over 500 Trainers in 30 countries and has personally trained thousands around the world in her influencing and persuading methodologies, using the LAB Profile®, Neuro-linguistic Programming, and other advanced psychologies.

She has created a number of advanced techniques used to: enhance rapport, trust, credibility, and influence that enable people to prevent conflicts, avoid stalemates in sales and negotiations and help everyone get what they need.

Organizations around the world call on her expertise in subconscious communication processes: what drives people to do (or not do) things, outside of their awareness.

Her books, online learning, and in-person programs help people figure out

  • the different ways people think, get motivated and make decisions
  • how to pick up these patterns in conversation and by observing people’s behavior
  • the right way to persuade each person, group, organization, large group or in mass communication

Shelle and her ideas have been seen on CNBC, CBC, CTV, Global, among others. She has helped the public understand the persuasion strategies of politicians and political parties during election campaigns.

Shelle is bilingual in English and French, can get out of jail in Spanish and eat and drink in German (in the present tense). She has been described as “Einstein meets Lucille Ball.” Just look at her hair. Maybe they meant Krusty the Clown. 🙂

The Institute for Influence

The Institute for Influence is a private educational organization founded by Shelle Rose Charvet, summering over 30 years of experience in human relationships, motivation, and team productivity.

The Institute for Influence is dedicated to inspiring leaders and managers, especially women, to better understand, predict and influence human motivation and team productivity.

The Institute offers online training programs and software apps to make communication more effective and the team more productive.

What makes the Institute for Influence unique is the understanding that human motivation varies from context to context. Understanding motivation patterns in each context make the communication effective and the team productive, instead of using inaccurate and ineffective labeling (as traditional personality tests do).

LAB Profile®, the main methodology that the Institute uses, is the only profiling tool that is not labeling people (as “personality traits”) but considers the different behaviors in different contexts.

The applications have a positive impact in management, human resources, marketing, but also in personal relationships.
